From August 19 to September 24, 2023, Kunstfabrik was proud to present “Gebäude Softskills,” a compelling work cycle by the acclaimed artist Michael Wegerer. This exhibition, spread across five gallery rooms, delves into the themes of humane building and architectural functionality, inspired by the publication of the same name. Wegerer’s oeuvre spans drawings, graphics, paintings, and objects, each creating a distinct visual rhythm that reflects on the impact of architecture on its inhabitants within an urban context. Through a multitude of techniques and installations, Wegerer invites audiences to engage with architecture from new perspectives, encouraging a deeper understanding and appreciation for the spaces we inhabit.
Art historian and curator Hartwig Knack hails the exhibition as a stimulating exploration of architectural aesthetics and its societal implications, offering visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in innovative visual experiences and interpretations.
